Norie's Kitchen - Anniversary Cake for Jim and Aileen

Norie's Kitchen - Anniversary Cake for Jim and Aileen

A lot of people don’t believe that long distance relationships are meant to be. But I think being in such a relationship will be a test to both parties on how much they love each other. I think these kinds of relationships work as long as their is an effort on both sides to make it so.Sorry if I am getting mushy on this blog post. I am just happy with my latest cake because I think the story behind it is so romantic.

This cake is an anniversary gift by Ai to her boyfriend Jim. I think she saw and liked a cake on my facebook account, the cake I made for a car lover’s birthday , which is also one of my favorites. And she wanted to me to make her boyfriend a Superman cake. After asking a few questions, I found out that it is for their anniversary and that she is in Canada while her boyfriend is here in the Philippines. So I decided to make her cake extra special because I love being part of surprises.

I asked details about them and then I turned it into this cake. She was sooo happy and her comment really touched me. She told me that my cake was not just a cake but “Bits and pieces of their lives”

Here are the details of the cake and a short explanation on the design.

The names are made to look like french fries because they had their first date at McDonald’s and they have a picture of their names written using french fries and ketchup just like the picture above.

Her boyfriend is a Superman Fan that’s why I designed the cake topper like this.

On this view, you can see the laptops featuring the logos of Facebook and Skype. These are the ways they communicate daily to let each other know how their day was and to exchange stories. Then I used the park bench because I think park benches are just so romantic.
